You have a world of options to choose from for finding your next Points holiday. As a Points member, you can exchange at both Weeks and Points resorts.
To book an exchange, you can either click on ‘BOOK' in the top menu, then select ’Exchange Holidays', which will take you to all exchange options. Alternatively you can begin your exchange search using the search bar at the top of the homepage, which can be narrowed down by selecting a region and optional check-in dates.
If you haven't started your search against a specific destination using the search bar, once you land on the search results page, you can narrow down the region you are interested in by selecting a region from the map, or by selecting a region from the filters on the left hand side. This will then present you with all the resort options based on your search criteria.
When you have found a resort you would like to book on the search results page, click on the 'AVAILABLE UNITS' button. This will then take you to the available units page for that resort. You can view availability from here via different options. If you are viewing a points resort that has multiple duration options, you will see the option to select from a 7, 14 and 21 night stay. If you are viewing a weeks resort, a 7 night default option will be set. You can now either select specific travel dates using the calendar if you haven't already filtered on this option. Alternatively, you can view by 'TYPE OF UNIT', or you can select the toggle to view 'ALL AVAILABILITY' at that resort.
If you have found a resort and you are ready to book, it’s worth reading the ‘Urgent Information’ before proceeding. When done, just click 'BOOK NOW' to begin the booking process.
Please note, you are unable to book multiple Points and Weeks accommodation at the same time, so you will need select a check-in date on the resort details page.
Step 1: Verify Details
You will now be asked to confirm who is travelling. If the booking is for you, tick ‘The RCI Member is part of the travelling party’. If another guest is holidaying, you will need to choose ‘This holiday is for a guest’.
Select ‘CONTINUE’ to proceed.
Step 2: Services
It’s now time to add those little extras such as exchange protection which safeguards your holiday if the unexpected should happen and you have to cancel. Leave the box ticked if you would like to add this. If you do not wish to purchase, just untick the box.
Select ‘CONTINUE’.
Note, if the exchange value of the accommodation is more than your current Use Year Points Balance, you may be presented with a ‘Points Accounting’ section. Click here to learn about this.
Step 3: Payment Information
Enter your payment details. Our checkout pages use secure encryption technologies to transmit your credit card data.
If you’re an RCI Platinum member, don’t forget you can use your Member Rewards towards your transaction before we calculate your remaining balance. If applicable, tick the box to use your rewards.
Select ‘CONTINUE’.
Step 4: Confirm Reservation
Finally review your confirmation details, and click ‘CONFIRM’ to complete your booking.
When you see 'Your holiday is confirmed' message and a confirmation number is given, you know your booking is secured.
Remember you can view your confirmation at any time by clicking on ‘TRIPS’ in the top navigation bar, to go to 'My Holiday Plans’ and clicking on the ‘Confirmed’ tab.

Other Important Information
For Weeks reservations, you will only have the option to hold a unit if (a) It is a Weeks Exchange unit that you are confirming, and (b) The travel dates for that Weeks Exchange are 60 days or more from today's date.
With RCI Points units, if the same apartment type is available, you can book consecutive weeks in 7-night increments for a maximum of 21 nights in one booking period.
If you require more than 21 nights or the same unit type is not available for the multi week exchange, separate bookings will be necessary. An exchange fee will be required for each of those bookings made.
Need to cancel? If you need to cancel your reservation within 24 hours of booking, your points and exchange fee will be fully refunded. If you cancel after this time, unless you have purchased exchange protection, ALL your exchange fee will be forfeited, and you will lose a percentage of your Points depending on when you cancel your exchange holiday.
