The massive 150 inches of snowfall the resort averages each year are just a backdrop for winter fun of skiing, snowmobiling and just enjoying the pristine blanket that covers the area as far as the eye can see. Spring arrives late, but is well worth the wait with the birth of new wildlife, and spring wildflowers. In summer, there's hiking, picnicking and countless ways to enjoy the great outdoors. And fall doesn't disappoint, with birch and aspen trees that beam with amazing colors.

Does any resort offer this much monumental fun? Barefoot Condominiums has the best downhill skiing and highest ski lifts east of the Rockies. Plus, there are over 300 miles of groomed cross-country skiing. Nearby are some of America's best-known tourist attractions, like Deadwood, where the entire city is a national monument, two more 'can't miss' monuments, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, the rugged beauty of Spearfish Canyon, and the intriguing underground world of Jewel Cave. If you're feeling lucky, you can pan for gold like a prospector of old or try to beat the odds at one of the area's 60 casinos. There's so much to enjoy when you vacation at Barefoot, you'll never get it all in. But it sure is fun trying.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
The nearest commercial airport is in Rapid City, SD, approximately 53 miles away. From the airport, take I-90 to Sturgis, 14A to Deadwood, 14A turns into 85 South.
