The most popular landmark of Yelagiri is the centrally-located Lake Punganoor. Pedal and manned rowing boats offer a chance to watch the beauty of the surrounding hills during a leisurely cruise. The hills of Yelagiri are also very popular among adventure enthusiasts in Tamil Nadu for hiking. Swamimalai, the highest peak in the Yelagiri hills at 4338 feet, is a breathtakingly beautiful 1-hour hike from Yelagiri. This stunning area was recently chosen the second best nature spot in India, next only to Panchgani in Maharashtra.

Nearest Airports: Chennai - 240kms, Bangalore - 190kms. Nearest Railway Station: Jolarpett Junction - 20kms. By Road: Yelagiri is well connected by road to Chennai & Banaglore. Resort can also arrange for pick up/drop for a fee if informed in advance. Foreigners are advised not to drive in India therefore all car hires come with Chauffeur included in the price.
