Destination Highlights
Located on Conanicut Island, Jamestown has a true New England village feel, complete with a lighthouse over 150 years old, a historic windmill, and ferryboats. The area also has many quaint shops, art galleries, casual eateries, and elegant restaurants. With the museums, parks, beaches, and marinas, visitors can have it all when vacationing here. While the warm Summer months are popular, autumn brings stunning fall foliage and apple or pumpkin picking opportunities, Spring is perfect for enjoying local gardens, and Winter is something straight out of Currier and Ives. Other attractions are tours of the Newport mansions, the semi-annual Newport-Bermuda Yacht race, and Jai Alai. There is a casino in Newport, and several in nearby Connecticut. Jamestown is 35 miles from Providence, 85 miles from Boston, and about a 3.5-hour drive from New York City.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
The nearest major airport, T.F. Green State Airport, is just South of Providence in Warwick, about 25 miles away. From the airport, take I-95 South to Exit 9, Rte. 4 South for about 10 miles. When Rte. 4 joins Rte. 1 watch for Rte. 138 for Jamestown & Newport. Continue on Rte. 138 East across the Jamestown Bridge until you see the toll booths for the Newport Bridge. Do not cross over this bridge, instead bear a Right into Jamestown, the resort will be 1 mile further on the Left.
