Destination Highlights
Hideaway Sands Resort is located on the barrier island of St. Pete Beach, right between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Water sports abound in this area, and you will find year-round fishing, boating, pristine beaches and wonderful crystal waters to luxuriate in. There is the Salvador Dali Museum, Johns Pass Village and Boardwalk, miles of Pinellas County coastline, and unique shopping experiences. The area also features major sports venues in the Tampa Bay Rays (baseball) and Buccaneers (football), wine tastings, live music and Busch Gardens. The Orlando theme parks are a daytrip away.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
Tampa is the nearest major airport, approx 30 miles from the resort. From the airport, take I-275 south through St. Petersburg to the Pinellas Bayway Exit#17, also called Highway 682 West. Continue on the Pinellas Bayway through $.50 toll to Gulf Blvd. Turn right on Gulf Blvd and continue four blocks to the resort which is on the left side of Gulf Blvd. PARKING IS AVAILABLE FOR ONE VEHICLE ONLY. There are no parking facilities for vans, campers, boats, motor homes or trailers at the resort. A car is recommended for sight-seeing.
