Heviz is a small town on the northwestern part of Lake Balaton only a few miles from Keszthely, a lakeside city with rich history and cultural life and splendid natural settings. What makes Heviz a unique, world famous attraction is its natural thermal lake, which is the largest biologically active lake in the world, and offers rejuvenation for both the body and the soul. Other area attractions not far from Heviz are the Balaton Museum, Csodabogyos Cave, and Sarvar Nadasdy Castle. Nearby activities include hiking in the northern hills, exploring wine cellars, and fishing.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
From Vienna Airport (200kms): take the road to border crossing Eisenstadt/ Sopron. From Sopron, follow road 84 to Balaton until you reach road 71. Follow signs to Keszthely and then to Heviz. At Heviz, turn right and follow the main road uphill. Turn right again at the water tower then take the first street to the left. From Budapest Airport (220kms): follow signs to city centre then to highways M1-M7/Balaton. Stay on M7 in direction Balaton. Take exit 170 to Keszthely/Heviz.
