Whispering Woods has evolved into a complete 74-unit vacation resort that is managed and operated by local people who call the Mt. Hood Territory their home. Many have spent their entire lives near our resort and are experts on the area. Whispering Woods Resort's proximity to The Resort at the Mountain affords our guests easy access to a beautiful golf course, two restaurants, and a day spa, all of which are open to the public. Whispering Woods II is located in an extensive resort community that features a challenging 27-hole golf course, an outdoor pool and hot tub, a day-spa, and a restaurant. Winding through the area's attractive landscape are roads suitable for bicycling and jogging. Surrounding the resort is Mount Hood National Forest, accented with lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, and extensive hiking trails. Mount Hood is always snowcapped, allowing year-round skiing. For a change of pace, take a side trip into nearby Portland.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
Portland airport is about 45 mi away. From the airport, proceed east on NE Airport Way to the I-205 South ramp towards I-84/ Portland/Salem. Proceed about 2 mi on I-205 South to I-84 East (exit 22). Stay on I-84 East to exit 16-238th Dr/Wood Village. Turn right onto 238th Dr which becomes 242nd Dr. Go 3 mi and turn left onto Burnside Rd (Hwy 26). You are now traveling towards Mt Hood. Proceed east on Hwy 26 to Welches. Welches is at the traffic signal 16 mi past Sandy. Turn right on Welches Rd and go 8/10ths of a mi to Woodruff Way. Turn right on Woodruff Way to Nicklaus Way and turn left. Check- in at the Whispering Woods Clubhouse on your left, at the Whispering Woods sign.
