The Solar Club Hotel is located in the area of Loverek, just north of the old town in Sopron, known as 'the most historic town in Hungary. Destination Highlights

With its 115 monuments and 240 listed buildings, Sopron, can rightly claim to be "the most historic town in Hungary," and one of the most appealing. The inner town has preserved its medieval layout, with a mixture of Gothic and Baroque architecture that rivals Castle Hill in Budapest. Tucked away near the Austrian border, Sopron was once known as 'the jewel box of Transdanubia.'It is a major wine-producing center and an ideal base for side trips to Vienna, the Esterhazy Palace, or for a ride on the vintage steam train at Nagycenk. South of town, the sub-Alpine Loverek Hills offer an alluring invitation to hikers. Bus #1 or #2 drops you near the start of the path up to the Karoly lookout tower, which offers splendid views of the countryside.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

BY AIR: Vienna Airport (59km). BY ROAD: From Vienna Airport follow motorway towards Vienna and then follow signs to Eisenstadt. From there continue to Klingenbach, where you cross the border into Hungary. Sopron is 7kms from border. At the large shopping centre turn right into the 'Lackner Kristof utca', then at the first traffic lights right into the e 'Ferenczy Janos utca'. In the roundabout straight on into the 'Kossuth Lajos utca'. After the 2nd level crossing turn left, then right into the 'Ady Endre ut' and of again left into the 'Deakkuti ut'. Take the first street on the left (Panorama ut). The entrance is from the 2nd street to the right (Honved ut).
