Clean, quiet, comfortable: each unit provides a homey feel to guests seeking peace and relaxation after an active day of sports and sightseeing. Depending on the selection, one-bedroom units sleep up to four or six, two-bedrooms accommodate up to six or eight, and three bedrooms sleep eight. The resort's restaurant is closed, but cooking is convenient in the full kitchen, equipped with microwave and dishwasher. Destination Highlights
Surrounded by the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, tiny Dillard in north Georgia has a population of about 200. The town is a destination for autumn leaf-watching the brilliant-colored trees light up the sky like fireworks. Dillard House is famous and should be on your To-Do list. The restaurant serves Southern and Appalachian fare, 'family style' all you can eat! Apple butter and acorn squash souffle are specialties. Dating back to the 1910's, Thomas Edison and Lady Bird Johnson ate here. Dillard House also has a petting zoo, stables, fishing, and more.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
The nearest airports are Asheville, NC or Atlanta, GA, both about 125 miles away. From the north, take I-85 to US 441 to Dillard. From the south, take I-85 to I- 985 (SR 365) to US 441 to Dillard. Take Hwy 246 East 4 miles, watch for the Sky Valley sign then turn right, go 1 mile to Sky Valley Resort. NOTE: the resort is in Georgia, however, you will cross the North Carolina border prior to arrival. Check-in is located at the Swim/Tennis Center.
