The gracious tranquil units offer guests the selection of either a one or two bedroom suite with the viewing option of oceanfront or the resort's luxuriant garden. Destination Highlights
Spectacular sights await you at this 11 acre ocean front resort that is only 8 miles from Lihue Airport. A quick 5 minutes from the resort is Coconut Marketplace, for exciting shops and authentic restaurants. Experience many diverse and truly unique nearby activities. Within 4 miles is Lydgate beach, one of the few beaches in Kauai that has lifeguards with an enclosed pool. Play golf at a local lush course, register to swim with nature at a local dolphin quest or visit Po'ipu beach famous for snorkeling. For the movie enthusiast, travel only a few miles to the filming site of 'The Thorn Birds'and the home of the famous swinging bridge at Hanapepe. Also nearby is Pond Beach Park that was used to film parts of 'Jurassic Park'.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
The nearest airport is the Lihue Airport, about 8 miles away. From the airport turn left onto Ahukini Road. At the stop light, turn right onto H56 North. Stay on this road for about 20 minutes, the resort will be on the right. Located within Pono Kai Resort. The check-in time is after 4PM and the check-out time is prior to 10AM. Both are strictly enforced. If staying more than one week, guests will need to check-out of their first unit and check-in to the second unit. While waiting for the unit to be cleaned, a hospitality unit (K102) is available for luggage and perishable food items storage.
