The Royal Goan Beach Club at MonteRio is located in Bardez, a town in North Goa, India. Some of the famous sites include the fort of Aguada; the beaches of Candolim, Sinquerim, and Vagator villages; the monastery and boarding-school of Monte Guirim; and St Xavier's College. Directions from Major Airport to Resort
BY AIR: Nearest airport: Dabolim 45 kms. BY ROAD : From Mapusa (8 kms) or Panjim (16 kms) to the resort, follow signs for Calangute/Vagator beach. At Calangute church turn right, continue for 1km & turn left at cross-junction. Drive straight till you reach Arpora chapel junction, turn right, continue for 1/2 km, turn left and drive straight to Monterio. Foreigners are advised not to drive in India. BY RAIL: Nearest railway station:Thivim (1/2 hour's drive). Karmali near Old Goa is 45 minutes' drive or Margao (1 1/2 hour's drive) to the Resort. Pre-paid taxis are available at the airport and railway station.
