Exchange Protection (formerly Enhanced Exchange Protection)
Exchange Protection allows you to amend or cancel your booking up to 14 calendar days before your check-in date and receive a full credit to your account of your Exchange Trading Power/Points and prevailing RCI Exchange Fees.
Terms & Conditions
Protection Scope: Exchange Protection protects the Exchange Trading Power, Points or credits AND the prevailing RCI Exchange Fee you paid at the time of booking in the event you modify or cancel your exchange booking for any reason. From 1 January 2022, Exchange Protection may be purchased only for exchange bookings with start dates at least 14 calendar days from the booking date.
Exchange Protection Fees: For RCI Weeks and credits, one Exchange Protection fee is payable for each exchange interval. For Points, Exchange Protection fees are payable based on the duration of your holiday (1-6 nights, 7 nights, or 8 or more nights). Purchase Window: Exchange Protection may only be purchased at the same time you confirm your exchange booking with us. For the latest Exchange Protection pricing, please see the fees page within our online Help Library or contact us.
Cancellation of Exchange Protection: You may cancel your Exchange Protection up to the close of business the following working day after the day of purchase (“Cancellation Window”). In such event, you will receive a refund of the Exchange Protection fee you paid for your protection. Administrative Charge: If you cancel your Exchange Protection after the Cancellation Window, the additional fee (“Additional Fee”) paid on top of prevailing RCI Exchange fees will be considered an administrative charge to process your cancellation, and thereby forfeited by RCI. By way of illustration, if you paid $458 in Exchange Protection transaction fees when the prevailing RCI Exchange fee is $388, the Additional Fee forfeited at the point of exchange booking cancellation is $70, whereas $388 is credited to your RCI account as Restored Credit, according to clause H
No Refund, Credit, or Transfer: After the Cancellation Window, the Exchange Protection fee is non-refundable, for money or for money’s worth. The Exchange Protection fee is non-exchangeable for credit, and Exchange Protection may not be applied towards another exchange booking.
Notifying RCI of Booking Cancellation/Changes:
- Exchange Protection Purchased before 1 January 2022: If you wish to modify or cancel your exchange holiday, you must notify us no later than 5.00 PM (GMT+8), at least 2 business days prior to your check-in date.
- Exchange Protection Purchased from 1 January 2022: If you wish to modify or cancel your exchange holiday, you must notify us no later than 5.00 PM (GMT+8), at least 14 calendar days prior to your check-in date.
Credit to RCI Account: Exchange Protection entitles you to receive a credit back onto your RCI member account of the full Exchange Trading Power or Points used to make the exchange booking AND the prevailing RCI Exchange Fee you paid at the time of booking (“Restored Credit”).
Validity of Restored Credit: Restored Credits cannot be refunded in cash. No other fees or charges will be refunded including, without limitation, Additional Fees, RCI membership fees or any travel and/or transport costs associated with your booking.
- Exchange Protection Purchased before 1 January 2022: You have 1 year from the date of cancellation of the original exchange booking to use any Restored Credit on your account.
- Exchange Protection Purchased from 1 January 2022: You have 6 months from the date of cancellation of the original exchange booking to use any Restored Credit on your account.
Validity of Returned Exchange Trading Power or Points: Rebooked exchange holidaysmust be within the original validity window of either your Deposit Trading Power or Points used for your original exchange booking. You must be a RCI member at the time you travel on any rebooked exchange holiday.
Exclusions: Please note that hotel, rental car, resort rental, cruise, and tours cancellation policies are based on the individual providers of these services and Extra Holidays / Extra Vacation, Bonus Holidays / Vacation Getaways and Rentals are excluded from this Exchange Protection option. Exchange Protection covers single and multi-week exchanges only offered by or through RCI.
Standard Booking Available: Members are still eligible to make a standard exchange booking. In such a case, the prevailing standard RCI cancellation policy will apply to any modification or cancellation to the new reservation. The benefits of the Exchange Protection option would not be available.
Not Insurance Product: Exchange Protection provides you with the right to modify your booking. Exchange Protection is not a travel insurance product and RCI strongly recommends that you have adequate travel insurance for your exchange holiday.
Other Terms and Conditions: Save where specifically varied by the terms of this product, your terms of membership with RCI (including, where applicable the rules of the Terms and Conditions of RCI Weeks Subscribing Membership, Terms and Conditions of RCI Points Subscribing Membership and our standard cancellation policy) continue to apply.
RCI Right to Amend: RCI reserves the right to alter or amend these terms or to withdraw the Exchange Protection product at any time.

RCI 账户积分：对于用于交换假期的全部交换能力或点数以及进行预订时支付的现行 RCI 交换费用，灵活交换支持将其以积分形式返还至您的 RCI 会员账户（“恢复存值”）。
恢复存值的有效期：恢复积分不能以现金形式退款。其他费用将不予退还，包括但不限于额外费用、RCI 会员费或与您预订相关的任何旅行和/或交通费用。
- 在2022年1月1日之前所购买的灵活交换：自您取消原始假期交换预订后的一年内，您有权使用账户上的恢复存值。
- 在2022年1月1日即日起所购买的灵活交换：自您取消原始假期交换预订后的六个月内，您有权使用账户上的恢复存值。
退还交换能力或点数的有效期：重新预订的交换假期必须在您最初用于预订交换假期的交换能力或点数的有效期内。对于任何重新预订的交换假期，在度假时您必须为 RCI 会员。
排除条款：请注意：本灵活交换中不包括酒店、租车、度假村租赁、邮轮和旅游取消政策等单个服务提供商所提供的服务、精选假期/精选度假胜地、奖励假期/度假胜地和租赁服务。灵活交换涵盖仅由 RCI 提供或通过 RCI 提供的单周和多周交换假期。
可用标准预订：会员仍有资格进行标准的交换假期预订。进行标准预订时，现行的标准 RCI 取消政策将适用于对新预订的任何修改或取消。无法享受灵活交换政策的权益。
非保险产品：灵活交换旨在为您提供修改预订的权利，并非是旅行保险产品。RCI 强烈建议您为您的交换假期购买充分的旅行保险。
其他条款和条件：除本产品条款另有规定外，您的 RCI 会员资格条款（包括适用的 RCI 周订阅会员资格条款和条件、RCI 积分订阅会员资格条款和条件以及我们的标准取消政策）将继续适用。
RCI 的修订权：RCI 保留随时更改或修改这些条款或撤销灵活交换产品的权利。

ご利用条件
保護の対象：エクスチェンジ・プロテクションは、お客様が何らかの理由でご予約を変更またはキャンセルされる場合、予約時にお支払いいただいたトレーディングパワー、ポイント、およびRCI交換手数料を保護します。2022年1月1日より、エクスチェンジ・プロテクションは予約日から最低14日以降の交換予約にのみご購入いただけます。

事務手数料：キャンセル期間を過ぎた後にエクスチェンジ・プロテクションをキャンセルした場合、RCI交換手数料に加えて支払った追加料金（追加料金）は、キャンセル処理のための事務手数料とみなされ、RCIが徴収させていただきます。例を挙げると、RCI交換手数料が388ドルで、エクスチェンジ・プロテクション料金として458ドルを支払った場合、交換予約のキャンセル時に没収される追加料金は70ドルで、388ドルは以下のH条項に従って、RCI口座に返金（クレジット回復）します。

RCIアカウントへのクレジット：エクスチェンジ・プロテクションでは、ご予約時に交換予約およびRCI交換手数料の支払いに使用されたトレーディングパワーまたはポイントを全額RCIメンバーアカウントに返金します（クレジット回復）。
クレジット回復の有効性：回復されたクレジットを現金で払い戻すことはできません。追加料金、RCIメンバーシップ料金、予約に関連する旅費や交通費を含むその他の料金や手数料は返金されません。
- 2022年1月1日以前にエクスチェンジ・プロテクションを購入された場合:交換予約のキャンセル日から1年間アカウントに回復したクレジットをご利用いただけます。
- 2022年1月1日以降にエクスチェンジ・プロテクションを購入された場合:交換予約のキャンセル日から6ヶ月間アカウントに回復したクレジットをご利用いただけます。
返金したエクスチェンジトレーディングパワーまたはポイントの有効性：バケーション交換を再予約する場合は、本来の交換予約に使用したデポジットトレーディングパワーまたはポイントのいずれかの有効期間内であることが条件です。バケーション交換を再予約し、旅行に出る場合は、RCIメンバーであることが条件です。
例外事項：ホテル、レンタカー、リゾートレンタル、クルーズ、ツアーのキャンセルポリシーは、サービスを提供する各プロバイダーによって異なります。エクストラホリデイ/エクストラバケーション、ボーナスホリデイ/バケーションツアーおよびレンタルは、このエクスチェンジ・プロテクションの対象外となりますのでご注意ください。エクスチェンジ・プロテクションは、RCI、またはRCIを通したシングルまたはマルチウィークエクスチェンジに適用されます。
標準のご予約も可能：メンバーは、標準の交換予約をご利用いただくこともできます。この場合、新しい予約の変更またはキャンセルには、標準のRCIキャンセルポリシーが適用されます。エクスチェンジ・プロテクションのメリットはご利用いただけません。
保険商品ではない：エクスチェンジ・プロテクションでは、安心してご予約を変更することができます。エクスチェンジ・プロテクションは旅行保険商品ではありません。バケーション交換をご利用の場合は、適切な旅行保険に加入することを強くお勧めします。
その他ご利用条件：本製品の条件によって特別に変更されている場合を除き、RCIのメンバー規約（RCIウィークメンバー規則、RCIポイントメンバー規約、および当社の標準的なキャンセルポリシーを含む）が引き続き適用されます。
RCIの変更権限：RCIは、エクスチェンジ・プロテクションの条件を変更または修正、または撤回する権限を有します。
