Here are facts that every RCI member should know about depositing.
1. What is a deposit?
As a holiday owner, you can choose to deposit your holiday time with RCI. Deposit your week as early as two years before the start date of the week you own or as late as 14 days before the start date of the week you own... The value of your deposit is impacted by many variables, but one of the most important things to know is that your deposit’s Trading Power can be impacted by when you deposit!
2. So, WHEN do I deposit?
That’s up to your resort, but the RCI Rule of Thumb is to Deposit Early.
Q: I own a fixed week…. how do I know when it is time to deposit?
A: Good question! We recommend that you establish a routine. Plan to call your resort at the
same time every year to pay your maintenance levies and be sure to ask for you week
to be deposited with RCI at least 9 months in advance from the start date
to obtain you maximum trading power.
Q: But my week changes every year... how do I know when it is time to deposit?
A: I recommend that you call RCI and ask about depositing your week, you can request a
deposit up to 2 years in advance without having paid your maintenance levies.
Once your levies are paid you resort will allocate a week (s) to your RCI account.
Simple just call RCI and we’ll walk you through the process! Or If you already know you
have to deposit through your resort, just plan to do it at the same time you pay your
maintenance fees. Not only is it one less phone call, but it will also help to make the
exchange process run more smoothly.
3. OK, I know the rules, but HOW do I deposit?
After paying your maintenance fees, call and we’ll walk you through the process.
If you already know you have to deposit through your resort, just plan to do it at the same time you pay your maintenance fees. Not only is it one less phone call, but it will also help to make the exchange process run more smoothly.
