Planning in advance is the best way to get the holiday you want.* The earlier you start to plan, the more holiday options you'll have to choose from AND the more likely you are to find what you’re looking for. So why doesn’t everyone do it? Here's a few of the most common reasons that you may think you can't plan in advance:

What’s The Best Way to Start Planning in Advance?
The first step is to deposit your holiday week as early as you know you won’t be returning to your home resort.
You don’t need to know where you want to go or when you want to travel to deposit. Just remember depositing from 2 years to 9 months in advance of the start date of your week can help maximise your Trading Power and get you the most exchange options available.
When Should I Begin Searching for my Exchange Holiday?
Just like when you deposit, you should begin your search as early as possible. The earlier you search, the more exchange options you are likely to find. RCI has a variety of search options to fit the needs of various types of holiday searchers!
- Advanced SearchIf you have an idea of what you’re looking for our new Advanced Search option will allow you to narrow down your options with ease. Select all of your desired criteria at one time and begin searching. All units available to you, which match your search criteria, will be shown in one place.
- Favourites SearchIf you generally search for the same type of holiday each time, you can save your desired search criteria as a Favorites Search. You can name your searches whatever you want and the next time you come back to search all you’ll need to do is click a button!
- Ongoing SearchIf you can’t find what you’re looking for in your initial search, an Ongoing Search is the best way to continue searching for your dream holiday. You can open an Ongoing Search up to two years in advance of your desired holiday start date. Opening an Ongoing Search has many benefits including:
Time Savings: Once you choose your search criteria RCI will search for you 24/7, notifying you once a resort match is found.
Priority Access: When you open an Ongoing Search your request receives priority access to newly deposited weeks in the system. It can even automatically confirm the week for you! It’s like putting yourself on a waiting list for your holiday.
Tip: The earlier you open an Ongoing Search the more holiday options you are likely to receive!
