The Poconos

Covering more than 2,400 square miles, northeastern Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains region offers family fun any time of year. Winter means snow, and for vacationers in the Pocono Mountains, that means skiing, snowboarding, and snow-tubing. It also means bird-watchers can marvel at overwintering bald eagles in the Upper Delaware River region. And any season is the right time for a relaxing getaway at one of the area’s many spas. Or, for the kids, indoor water parks will have them feeling like it’s summer, no matter the weather outside.
